Schwan's Home Service, Inc. Feeds Hungry Families This Holiday Season

Schwan’s Home Service, Inc. And America's Second Harvest – The Nation’s Food Bank Network Coordinate A Food Drive To Provide Warm Meals To Families

CHICAGO --- Nov. 3, 2005 --- Schwan’s Home Service, Inc. is sponsoring a food drive for America's Second Harvest – The Nation’s Food Bank Network to help provide hungry families across America with a warm meal this holiday season.  Schwan’s will encourage customers to purchase food items that will be donated to food banks in their local area.

The food drive expects to collect donated food valued at approximately $2 million.  Schwan‘s will match up to $100,000 in food donations, as well as provide transportation of the donated products to the individual food bank Members of the America's Second Harvest Network.

Schwan’s invites customers to purchase product to donate from a list of food items that include turkey breast, mashed potatoes, pumpkin pie and other traditional holiday favorites.

“We are very grateful to Schwan’s Home Service for helping us provide warm and nutritious meals to families that are at-risk of hunger this holiday season,” said Robert Forney, president and CEO of America’s Second Harvest.
