C&S Donates Thousands of Turkeys to Feed Hungry During Holidays

Wholesale Grocers Donations Create Over 43,000 Turkey Dinners
Brattleboro, VT --- December 9, 2003 --- C&S Wholesale Grocers announced that it donated over 2,700 turkeys to regional food banks this holiday season. The donation will make possible over 43,000 turkey dinners for individuals in states from Maine to California.
In addition to the corporate donation, over 750 C&S employees donated turkeys from employee giveaways to regional anti-hunger organizations, creating meals for thousands more individuals in need.
C&S CEO Rick Cohen said, "This holiday season C&S is pleased to once again support the communities where we live and operate our business. We are grateful that we can make a difference locally in the lives of families who need a boost at this time of year."
